Every Wednesday, students participate in tutoring through a collaborative partnership with Carnegie Mellon Universitystudents and PLUS Tutoring, offering scholars access to high-quality instruction and individualized attention.
Tutors use IXL to monitor student progress, identify strengths, and address areas for growth in real time. This data-driven approach allows instruction to be personalized for each scholar, ensuring learning is responsive, intentional, and aligned to individual needs.
Through consistent support, progress tracking, and meaningful academic relationships, math tutoring helps scholars improve performance, build problem-solving skills, and develop the confidence needed to succeed in advanced coursework.

LIFE Male STEAM Academy is a tuition-free public charter school serving young men in grades 6–11, where students engage in a dynamic, future-focused education rooted in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. There is no cost to parents to enroll, as enrollment for Pennsylvania charter school students is covered by taxpayer dollars.
